Urban League Guild of Colorado Springs

Affiliation

The ULGOCS operates under the auspices of the Urban League of the Pikes Peak Region, Inc., and shall operate in the same geographical area as said affiliate.

Mission and Purpose

The mission of ULGOCS is to champion the goals and objectives of Urban League of the Pikes Peak Region, Inc., through community services, awareness, and leadership. Fundraising projects will be consistent with the local affiliate.

Functions

The functions of the ULGOCS are:

A. Act as a conduit of the affiliate and community in identifying the needs and assist in the developing of programs to meet those needs.
B. To disseminate information to the community in promotion of the local affiliate programs.
C. Develop fundraising activities to support the mission of the local affiliate.
D. Obtain approval from the affiliate President/CEO for all Guild programs, projects, and fundraisers.

Membership

Membership in ULGOCS is open to all persons who express an interest in the mission of the Urban League. No person will be discriminated against on the basis of ethnicity, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, economic status or physical ability. It is the responsibility of the ULGOCS and its general membership to ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to. It is strongly advised that the local ULGOCS make every effort to follow procedures and document all transactions.
